How Does Jesus Save Us?

Having come to believe in Christ as my saviour I want to amend all. But the Spirit and the flesh are always in conflict. It is a daily battle.
Then you can't really trust in your flesh, can you?

Well that is kind of funny that you would be so assured that God finds no fault with you and that you would never disappoint Him. "If anyone says they do not sin, they are a liar and the truth is not in them." Even what you say in this post is offensive to Him as it is full of arrogance and pride, and you are constantly lying about doctrines, even after you have been shown the truth, so that you can stand in Christ's place judging the peoples. Do you not know that anything that pleases God, or that is pleasing in God, comes from His character? Who He is? And that those are laws of God.

You know Robert, the Pharisees promoted a works salvation without faith. You promote a faith salvation with no works. Both are utterly dead. Are you one of those who thinks you are already perfect in all your ways. One of the worst heretics of all time, because he is the most followed, Charles Finney, is the man you worship.
If you are living according to rules and laws, you are living according to the flesh, just like the Pharisees, Romans 3:20.

Christians do not have to do works to be saved. Works are to be done out of love and gratitude for what Christ has done for us.

Because of the Gospel and justification by faith, God sees me as perfect and complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. You cannot claim that because you are not in Christ, you are in John Calvin.

Then you can't really trust in your flesh, can you?
Of course not. That is why having the commandments written on the heart are so important. When a sinful thought arises. One knows that it is sin and is to push it aside with the help of the Holy Spirit.

And what of accidental wrongdoing. That happens.

I never said they did.

That does not mean you don't have to obey God.

What a stupid thing to say. Calvin is dead. Nobody can be in him now and nobody ever could. You have read things I write concerning salvation and being in Christ (some you have even liked) so you know that you are lying, and you have no twinge of conscience to do so. And you only do it because I disagree with you, not because you have the slightest idea what you are talking about. That sounds like someone who either does not have the Holy Spirit indwelling them, or someone who blatantly and without repentance or even any sense of guilt or wrongdoing, ignores HIm. Someone with a seared conscience.

But I am done talking to stupid.

Calvinism is your God. Everything that you believe has to please your Calvinist God or you reject it.

You sound just like an old Pharisee. They all went to hell. To be under the law is to be under a curse, Galatians 3:10, 11.
You should have looked, to know what St Paul was speaking about.
That is all I did.

Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day,
to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Deuteronomy 11:26-27

Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.
And all the people shall say, Amen.

Deuteronomy 27:26

It is in the gospels too, if you still don't believe God's words.

But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
John 7:49

The Bible says curse. To be under the law is to be under the judgment of God.
Better to be under God's judgement, than to perish without it.

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law:
and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Romans 2:12

As Christians, and converts to Jesus, we are ones who have been handed God's law,
and so we are the ones that are judged by it. How well we keep it.

St Paul was certainly not adverse to being judged by God's law.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord,
that we should not be condemned with the world.

1 Corinthians 11:31-32

Neither was St James.

So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
James 2:12

Learn to love judgment, and reproof.
Reproofs of God's instructions is the way of life.

Here's some fer ya.
King James Bible
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

You cannot make Jesus manifest himself by your law keeping.

Thank you.
St Paul was quoting from the law there.

So let us look at it in context, shall we?
to see what Paul was speaking about.

And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand,
in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good:
for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as He rejoiced over thy fathers:
If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God,
to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law,
and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God,
to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply:
and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Deuteronomy 30:9-16

You cannot make Jesus manifest himself by your law keeping.

He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me:
and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father,
and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.

John 14:21
