Genesis 1 Comment

Hi stranger its a blessing meeting you from the eternal propmised land .
You're no angel, Garee.
aggelos--- english translation = messenger (not angel.) How beautiful are the feet of those shod with the gospel of peace.
Most of the time the word means "angel." A spirit-being.
Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Leviitcus 25:22-25 And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store. The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
So you found a scripture where "strangers" refers to people. That does not mean every occurrence of "stranger" refers to people.

Gen 1:
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

I believe the Bible describes the heavens and earth as portrayed in the image I posted earlier. It's not true, but it's the way the ancients saw and understood things.

"Firmament" is singular. The lights are in the firmament of the heavens.

Agreed.

Angels aren't pagan. You'll meet them one day.

Thanks for the confirmation. In Heb 13:2, "messengers" is definition #1, but very few angels appear with wings.

"Firmament" is singular. The lights are in the firmament of the heavens.
Heavens is plural. So after some thought, that would make the firmament plural also. If there is plural heavens, then there would be more than one firmament.

Yes.

Your problem is that the word for firmament is not plural. Check any lexicon.

Nope. The firmament is called the heavens, or the firmament of the heavens.
There are (firmaments / planets) in the heavens.
