Will You Die in Your Sins?

That is right.
But what does count?

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing,
but the keeping of the commandments of God.

1 Corinthians 7:19
The only thing that God is going to recognize in the judgment is faith in Jesus Christ. Everything else is going to go up in smoke.

Every man's work shall be made manifest:
for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire;
and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1 Corinthians 3:13

The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel,
under whose wings thou art come to trust.

Ruth 2:12

There was a couple problems with this, when I was turning me to Jesus.
1. I didn't know God, so I didn't know if I could love Him.
2. I didn't love myself, let alone my neighbour.

I had to start with the things that Jesus said that I could do.

Fast, walk, watch, and pray.
That is how I started.

Hi Comingfrom.
Many of us start with 'not knowing'.
We humans can either love at first contact or grow in love!
I think hearing the word and learning by it is the key to growing in love leading to wanting yet more understanding of Him.
I appreciate your communication of your walk with Him, growing in faith by His lessons to you :)

I found hearing the word and doing it was the key for me.
There were many things I could not have learned had I not tried to do them.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them,
I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Matthew 7:24

But be ye doers of the word,
and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22

For example, Tithing. :)

To do with a heart!
An example: I hear and I seek to do.
Sometimes I make a mistake, and a heavy heart ensues.
One of the things I noticed when I surrendered was I noticed my heavy heart.
Then doing with my new 'software' of Scripture gave me delight!
I have lived around the globe and had many professions (by my own means).
When I settled and stopped chasing the crude patterns of the world- I heart the truth. Proper truth.
I am in Melbourne now, cold this time of year, settled.
I became a fool in my profession to become wise in Christ.
Still growing... mixed diet of veggies and meat- going solid.
Interesting that we can say we are an adult, yet still growing in the spirit.
Now tithing- that needs a thread unto itself brother!

I didn't search for the Lord.
Oh, so you saw a lighter brighter than the sun and heard a voice without seeing a man?
I was convicted by the Holy Spirit of my need for Jesus Christ over 50 years ago.
In other words, you are a victim of proselytization. If you don't mind me asking, how old were you when you were proselytized?
What was my reward? My reward was salvation and peace with God.
I can't help but find it interesting that you got the same reward that those who say they found God. But then again that is was the parable said.

Seeing it is written in Proverb 20:12, The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them but not everyone has to the heart to perceive that except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it.

Good to meet you Aussie.
I'm living in country NSW, about an hour from Dubbo.

Yes, tithing. Laying up our treasures in heaven.
Did you want to start the thread, or shall I? :)

O that there were such an heart in them,
that they would fear Me, and keep all My commandments always,
that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Deuteronomy 5:29

Do good in Thy good pleasure unto Zion:
build Thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt Thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering:
then shall they offer bullocks upon Thine altar.

Psalm 51:18-19

Thanks for that. ❤️

Some have to seek the Lord, but not all. The convicting power of the Holy Spirit is not being proselytized. I was 36 years old when I was convicted of my need for Christ.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

Matthew 6:33
Notice that it says, "His Righteousness". Man does not have a righteousness that God will accept. God only accepts the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We are accepted only in him and because of him. The reason that God does not accept our righteousness is because, "There is none righteous, no, not one. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:10, 23.
