What Does God Want?

The sword of the Spirit is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that you have rejected. In the Gospel Jesus has ALREADY reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. Making your religion worthless.
But didn't you say, the gospels, and therefore all that Jesus spoke, were still under the Old Covenant,
which is now abolished.

So how are you keeping Jesus' gospel?
Your gospel is preaching that Jesus [God's Word - the sword of the Spirit] was abolished.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew 4:23

And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations:
and He shall rule them with a rod of iron:
and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Revelation 19:15

What has been abolished is the law and the commandments, Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:14. Hebrews 8:13. But only for Christians.

The Gospel is not something that you keep. It is something that you believe.

Revelation 19:15 has not happened yet.

To the point line: He wishes all to be saved.

I learned early on to get to the punch line:

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4, KJV).

How to the point is that!

I am sure the how, and why, and what, will call for differing views in the thread.

Slow it down. Do not complicate it. Right to the point!

Early on: or better late than never!

It is very much to the point. If God is not willing that any be lost, then that means that God has provided salvation for everyone, Hebrews 2:9. The ball is in humanities court. Jesus has provided salvation for everyone, so that whosoever that shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved, Romans 10:13.

What has been abolished is the law and the commandments, Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:14. Hebrews 8:13. But only for Christians.
What He abolished from my flesh was the enmity against His law.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Romans 8:7

The Gospel is not something that you keep. It is something that you believe.
You believe in something that you haven't even stored up in you?

C'mon, pull the other one.
You got your 5 line gospel on loop tape, haven't you?
Sounds like it.

Therefore shall ye lay up these My words in your heart and in your soul,
and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

Deuteronomy 11:18

Revelation 19:15 has not happened yet.
Jesus didn't happen yet?

He is come in the flesh for some of us.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:18

If the law has not been abolished for Christians, then we are all in serious trouble.

If you are not found to be "In Christ" you will perish.

The law did not save the Pharisees, nor will it save you.

Hello. You are finally getting it.

Woe be unto you, ungodly men, which have forsaken the law of the most high God!
for if ye increase, it shall be to your destruction:

Sirach 41:8

Those that received the law and didn't keep it shall be worse off
than those who never received it.

If you are not found to be "In Christ" you will perish.
Even if you are found of Christ, but He found you to be ashamed of His law,
shall He not also be ashamed of you?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 9:26

The law did not save the Pharisees, nor will it save you.
You are saying, you are justified by the Pharisees.

Jesus doesn't come and save Pharisees because they are hypocrites,
saying that they keep the law, when in fact they do not.

And truthfully, I hear the same thing from so many Christians.
They come to me claiming that the law ended, was abolished, and that Christians don't need to obey it,
so I show them a couple of verses, and suddenly they start saying they are keeping it, by faith
(and in spirit, of course).

If His children forsake My law, and walk not in My judgments;
If they break My statutes, and keep not My commandments;
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

Psalm 89:30-31

Psalm 89:30-31
No one can keep God's law. The law is the nature and character of God. The only one that kept God's law was Jesus Christ and he kept it for us as our representative.

You are in denial that you are a sinner born after Adam, Romans 5:12.

The only ones that are going to be saved are those that need a savior. If you don't need a savior and think that you are righteous by the law, you will most certainly perish. Hell is going to be full of self-righteous people who think that they don't need a savior.

Jesus is your savior not the law. Call on Christ to save you, Romans 10:13. While you still have breath.

No one can keep God's law.
Have you tried?

The law is the nature and character of God.
The law is God's commandments for us, that if we do them
it may go well with us, and with our children.

The only one that kept God's law was Jesus Christ and he kept it for us as our representative.
Luke 1:5-6

You are in denial that you are a sinner born after Adam, Romans 5:12.
If I was in denial, I would not have repented to keep the commandments.
I was not in denial that my life was in hell.
Deuteronomy 28 explained why, for me.

And I know I can't keep them all perfectly all the time,
but I am always giving it my best effort.

After all that Jesus done for us,
here you are saying it is not worth lifting a finger for Him.

The only ones that are going to be saved are those that need a savior. If you don't need a savior and think that you are righteous by the law, you will most certainly perish. Hell is going to be full of self-righteous people who think that they don't need a savior.
He shall save the righteous, but the wicked shall perish.

And is just a wicked insinuation of yours that I think I don't need Jesus.
Who else will teach us God's law?
Certainly not you.

Jesus is your savior not the law. Call on Christ to save you, Romans 10:13. While you still have breath.
Jesus won't save them who won't do His sayings.

Ye have said, It is vain to serve God:
and what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance,
and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?
And now we call the proud happy;
yea, they that work wickedness are set up;
yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another:
and the Lord hearkened, and heard it,
and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon His name.
And they shall be Mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels;
and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked,
between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not.

Malachi 3:15 & 16-18

Mixing Old Covenant law and religion with New Covenant Gospel and faith is pure heresy and is under the judgment of God, Galatians 3:10.

Yes. Absolutely. This is a critically important commandment.

Ye shall keep My statutes.
Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind:
thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed:
neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

We are all mixed: "Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” (Matthew 13:30, ESV)
We are now growing together with increased social interactions: those who would believe and those who would not. We are cross-woven, a mingle of threads amid national social formations, yet sit apart.
You know at times the world would see this as divisive, an apartheid if you will. It is in these interactions, all mixed together, that we can share our hope and why we joy (in happiness and in sadness): the Grace Administration, the new wine.
When I first read your post using the above Leviticus verse I had felt heavy at its 'apartness'... yet seeing it as a movement from old to new covenant or old wineskins to new, changed it for me.
Grace is a wonderful thing!
Blessings
L.B.
