What Does God Want?

You can blame King James'translators for that.
Or maybe Jesus left it out, when He spoke that time.

I just copied and pasted. 😘
I am sure you skipped it and that is the most important commandment.

reference?

BTW:

Matthew 23:38

King James Version

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Your reference says nothing about what you are saying.

Then you aught know.
The New Covenant is when God writes His laws in our mind and in our heart.
Then is when He made a covenant with me.

And this is the covenant:
While ever I keeps His words and do His commandments, He shall be with me.
But if I stray from His commandments, He also will leave me.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them,
that I will not turn away from them, to do them good;
but I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.

Jeremiah 32:40

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord;
I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:
and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people:

Hebrews 8:10
The law that is written on the Christians heart in not like the Mosiac law. It is a prompting or an urging to do what is right.

You skipped "the Lord is one".

What God wants is for you to renounce your law keeping religion and trust in Jesus Christ for you salvation.

I know that.
And is what I have been trying to show.

And I believe that was what St Paul was trying so hard to say too.

But men flip St Paul's word to believe that it is a good thing now,
and to justify their not having God's law writ in their hearts,
because now God's law is the law of sin, and is not the spiritual law, or a law to have faith in.

And I have been asking,
if not God's commandments, then whose?

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me:
for he wrote of Me.
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words?

John 5:46-47

But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

2 Corinthians 3:15-16

That is your earnest desire, dear Robert.

And I understand how it must be hard for you,
when so many brethren keep showing you His commandment to keep His law.
Day in and day out, year after year after year.

Nevertheless you keep up your good works. 😘

The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke,
in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do,
until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly;
because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken Me.

Deuteronomy 28:20

You have missed it completely.

The law and the commandments were given to show you that you don't measure up to God's standards and that you need a savior, not an instructor. You are in desperate need of salvation. Call on Christ to save you, while you still have breath.

Depends of what we choose to miss, doesn't it?

When I turned my heart to Jesus, I prayed He teach me how to do God's commandments.
And that He did.
While you are praying that I missed out on something.

Blessed is the man whom Thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of Thy law;
Psalm 94:12

And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws,
and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk,
and the work that they must do.

Exodus 18:20

this is your post:

Jesus said unto him,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 23:38
My sincere apologies, I misunderstood you.

And you are right, my quote has a typo, should have been "Matthew 22:37-38"
Thank you for the correction.

This is Mark says:

Mark 12:28-30

King James Version

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

You see, you missed The Lord our God is one Lord.
