The Threefold Purpose of the Law

I offer up the scripture, because I believe it is truth.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

John 14:6

And I know that His commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.

John 12:50

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Thy law is the truth.
Psalm 119:142
If you believed it was truth, you would be keeping every saturday holy as the 4th commandment instructs. The fact is, you don't believe the scriptures, you believe yourself.

The scriptures are reality, your fiction comes from the meanings you place on them. A bullock mentioned in scriptures is a castrated bull and not verbiage.
Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges?
who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof?
or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn.
Doth God take care for oxen?
Or saith He it altogether for our sakes?
For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope;
and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

1 Corinthians 9:7-11

If only you followed his law.
And this is love, that we walk after His commandments.
This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

2 John 1:6

If you believed it was truth, you would be keeping every saturday holy as the 4th commandment instructs. The fact is, you don't believe the scriptures, you believe yourself.
And if you believed it was truth, you would be keeping His feasts three times a year, besides keeping Saturdays holy.
And you would be offering bullocks and rams, as He commands.

Misapplied, misconstrued, and misunderstood.
Whereas you say it aught not be applied at all,
because you believe God done away with His word, and His commandments.

The 1st of the ten commandments is to keep all the commandments, to love the Lord our God.

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.
Exodus 20:6

And if you believed it was truth, you would be keeping His feasts three times a year, besides keeping Saturdays holy.
And you would be offering bullocks and rams, as He commands.
This is what I believe:

Hebrews 8:
But God found fault with the people and said[b]:

“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,

because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
and I turned away from them,
declares the Lord.
10 This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
11 No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”[c]
13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges?
who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof?
or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

1 Corinthians 9:7-11
But you are not understanding this scripture. What is Paul saying here? Read the verses 1-7

1 Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not the result of my work in the Lord? 2 Even though I may not be an apostle to others, surely I am to you! For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

3 This is my defense to those who sit in judgment on me. 4 Don’t we have the right to food and drink? 5 Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas[a]? 6 Or is it only I and Barnabas who lack the right to not work for a living?

7 Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat its grapes? Who tends a flock and does not drink the milk?

Paul is obviously defending the rights of apostles and their ability to be supported for their spiritual work with carnal thinks like money, food and shelter.

You misunderstand what spiritual means when Paul uses it. It doesn't mean to turn the bible into a handy metaphors. No, to be spiritually minded is to mind the things of the spirit and disregard the fleshly lusts.

His commandments are not the old covenant laws for the Hebrews but the new covenant laws of Christ. Not only are these written down but it also extends to what Christ tells you to do minute by minute. And this is not to be saved but because you are saved.

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.
Exodus 20:6
How to love the Lords your God is contained in the first four commands, how to love your neighbour is contained in the last 6. There is no way around it CF, you do not keep the law of God. You keep your law that you made up out of it.

This is what I believe:

Hebrews 8:

Thank you for that, Israel.
God found fault with the people, not with His law.

Maybe the people will remain faithful to God's covenant this time.
Though I suspect, many people will still not keep God's covenant,
for having listened to and followed their fellow Christians.
To keep their sayings, rather than keeping the words which the Lord commanded in Moses' day.

So?

You still would like to muzzle my oxen,
because I offer spiritual up things.

You misunderstand what spiritual means when Paul uses it. It doesn't mean to turn the bible into a handy metaphors. No, to be spiritually minded is to mind the things of the spirit and disregard the fleshly lusts.
We have different understandings.

And I think you don't like seeing me treading out the corn.
Is that it?

His commandments are not the old covenant laws for the Hebrews but the new covenant laws of Christ. Not only are these written down but it also extends to what Christ tells you to do minute by minute. And this is not to be saved but because you are saved.
Show us where "the new covenant laws of Christ" are written, please.
For as far as I know, Jesus Christ kept the commandments of our Father in heaven.
And minute by minute, He keeps me in the Father's commandments.

And I know that His commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.

John 12:50

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Deuteronomy 6:5-6

Jesus said unto him,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.

Matthew 22:37-38

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way,
and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Exodus 23:20

How to love the Lords your God is contained in the first four commands,
And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them,
Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
( I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you the work of the Lord:
for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount; ) saying,
I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have none other gods before Me.
Thou shalt not make thee any graven image,
or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me,
and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.
Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.
Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant,
nor thine ox, nor thine donkey, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;
that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt,
and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm:
therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Deuteronomy 5:1-15

how to love your neighbour is contained in the last 6.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee;
that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Thou shalt not kill.
Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
Neither shalt thou steal.
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife,
neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his donkey,
or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount
out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and He added no more.
And He wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

Deuteronomy 5:16-22

There is no way around it CF, you do not keep the law of God. You keep your law that you made up out of it.
I am not seeking your confirmation, and approval.

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly;
and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter;
whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Romans 2:29
