Greek word for messenger

Another one of your posts which prove nothing.

"The story of Angelos is cited by the scholiast in a series of rare myths concerning the birth of Hecate, which makes it possible to think that Angelos was essentially equal to Hecate." -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelos_(mythology)

kēryx is in the Bible three times, and is translated "preacher."

ángelos is in the Bible 181 times, and is usually translated "angel," and most of the time it MEANS angel.
And so the word Angel is a well beaten path.

Angelos mistranslated as angel. In English the Greek Angelos is messenger a word applied to Apostles (sent ones) How beautiful are they feet shod with the gospel

Song of Solomon 7:1 How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.

Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

"Angel" is not a mistranslation. Most of the time "angelos" refers to angels. Spirit beings.

Angel is a mistranslation, sort of. The word means messenger, and perhaps herald. But a messenger of God is always a divine being.
A angel, or a messenger mean separate things in English. A Herald and messenger are the same thing.
