Unity in exclusivity is mere tribalism - Nothing special there

Sure, we are to be in the world but not of it. But you seem to be advocating NOT being IN the world!
Thanks for letting me know that what I’ve said sounds like that to you. It offers me an opportunity to clear it up, for you and our readers. I’m not.
Good. Please explain. Thanks.

There is no consensus on doctrine!

There is in my congregation / tribe and there is coming a day when it will be for everyone.

Only when we except others as they are. (within reason)

]

People are what they are and what they are runs the gamut. A day is coming when all people will have the same doctrine.

In the meantime, we will remain divided. That’s the nature of doctrine / teaching. That’s the reality of it.

Exactly.
What I am trying to address here is how we handle that situation.
Do we declare war, or declare peace?

“Blessed are the peacemakers.” - Jesus

Should we make peace with evil? That may sound overly dramatic.

Should we make peace with false doctrine?

Should we make peace as much as it depends on us?

What do you propose?

]

I propose not ever compromising with what you’re persuaded is true.

I won’t ever unite myself with those who worship a deity which the Messiah himself didn’t, doesn’t and never will worship.

Neither will I harm those who do. If they wish to harm me, I’ll endure it.

Agree.

Jesus has already defeated the enemy. No reason for us to be up in arms?

Should we make peace with false doctrine?
Should we make war against our brothers and sisters? (flesh and blood)
How can we deal with "false doctrine" without damaging the Body of Christ?
Who decides whether a doctrine is false or not? There is no consensus.

Agree.

Even so, spiritual warfare continues.

Should we make war against our brothers and sisters? (flesh and blood)

Human beings? No, those who belong to Messiah should not make war against our fellow human beings.

How can we deal with "false doctrine" without damaging the Body of Christ?

The church is filled with wheat and tares. The Messiah will deal with both when he returns.

Who decides whether a doctrine is false or not? There is no consensus.

The Messiah determines whether a doctrine is true or false. There is no consensus because men are confused about and divided over what the Messiah has said.

Have you ever been mistaken about others?

Yes.

Is your view infallible?

]

My view of who God is? If that’s what you’re asking about, yes; it is infallible.

Why? Because it depends entirely upon what the Messiah himself said concerning who his God and the God of his disciples is.

If Jesus’ view is wrong then my view is not infallible.

Litmus test. If Jesus of Nazareth didn’t, doesn’t and will not worship my God, then my god is an idol.
