In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The reason it is written that God created the heavens and the earth in your Bible is due to the copyright laws which required the authors to make substantial changes in the text in order to obtain a copyright for their Bibles. There is one expanse of space and it is called the universe.
  • The term create in the scriptures of Genesis by implication means to bring forth something into existence which has never existed in form or substance prior to being brought into existence.
  • Moreover, the term create used in Genesis also infers by implication to it being a divine act, meaning it is not something that could occur except but for the divine act that brought it into existence.
Simply put the heaven and the earth are referring to the physical expanse of space that was created by the body of light that came forth from the eternal One. Hence it is written, "...for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me." John 8:42. To better understand who was speaking in tat verse, read Deuteronomy 18:18.

The word expanse has to do with a solid. The expanse is solid.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

I check the original Hebrew text and the word for heaven is plural.

The universe is a spherical body of space in which mass exists. You have to have space before you can have mass. Since nothing in this universe existed prior to the space being created, if matter, even space without mass, was not created then it would be eternal. And if the universe is eternal then it would not have a creator.

If someone says look at the skies above, it doesn't mean there are more than one sky, Is it written in your copyrighted Bible that the heavens and the earth would pass away?

2 Corinthians 12:2

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.

Heavens below, heavens above, and heavens beyond.

Genesis 1:8

Other scriptures affirm that this world is a heaven.

The world is also a heaven.





Genesis 1:8
And God called the (World, / firmament) Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.





“At hand” means, here.

Matthew 3:2
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is (at hand / here.)



Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is (at hand / here.)



Matthew 10:7
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is (at hand / here.)





“The kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Luke 17:21
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is (within you / in your midst.)





God’s dwelling place is now among the people

The Earth and the stars are heavens. Heavens light is its stars.

Lets look at this scripture.

Luke 17:21
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is (within you / in your midst.)​


Question for you. Is heaven something imagined, or is it in our midst?
