Hey Sketch-- as a musician, you might be interested in this. I have an old guitar for sale that I'd like to get rid of.
It's currently non-working so I'll cut you a great deal.

I actually own some (2) Fender Squire guitars that were "crafted in China". (1997-1998)
Good guitars to use as project guitars. "Partscasters".
I would buy them cheap and swap out the pickups, tuners and such.
Ended up with four of them. (1997-2002) Great value with the aging wood. IMHO
