Yes read ACTS 1 first.....Why does it have to be a major feast day...It is within the feast of Pentecost a feast of Week or the Sabbath of the Land.....it is 50 days. Christ was ascended 40 days after His resurrection and within the next ten days, the event portrayed in Chapter 2 of Acts, happened. Three thousand were saved that day into Christ CHurch (His Body) and Three thousand received the Holy SPirit that Day....Did it matter if it was Jew or Gentile? No for the Church of Jesus (His Spiritual Church) accept everyone that believes in HIM "ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES".And you have a verse , that the B O C BEGAN in Acts 2 , A Jewish Major FEAST DAY ??

Ah, your one of those that like to reinterpret the Greek used by the writers of the Bible. Interesting....Either way, if you do not believe what it says or want to change it, it is your choice or "FREE WILL"...AND for starters , the Greek word EKKLESIA does not mean Church ., as EKK means a OUT OF and KLESIS means a calling , is other words A CALLED OUT ASSEMBLY , , and just check VINE 'S DICTIONARY .
In Acts 2:47 , And the LORD was adding to the ASSEMBLY daily the ones being saved .
The Greek word ADDING / PROSTITHEEMI is in the Greek IMPERFECT TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE , and in the INDICATIVE MOOD .
The IMPERFECT TENSE means that the LORD was ADDING and than stopped !!
The LORD stop adding to that assembly at Acts 28: 25-31 and Acts 2:17 is a direct quote FROM he Joel 2:28-32 .
There are more verse , like 2 Cor 3:9-15 , and Isa 6:1-18 .

And why not check the Greek text on what EKKLESIA means , and what about RAPTURE , also , is not a Greek word as is PURGATORY , POPE , or DEACONNESS , and let me know what you find out ??Ah, your one of those that like to reinterpret the Greek used by the writers of the Bible. Yes your right about the rapture but in the Latin Vulgate, the word 'Rapiemur' meaning "Caught Up"....And why not check the Greek text on what EKKLESIA means , and what about RAPTURE , also , is not a Greek word as is PURGATORY , POPE , or DEACONNESS , and let me know what you find out ??

And maybe tomorrow , I can show 2 verses where it talks about Jesus COMING back for us >Yes your right about the rapture but in the Latin Vulgate, the word 'Rapiemur' meaning "Caught Up"....
As far as "ekklēsia"goes, it is "an assembly of the people convened at the public place of the council for the purpose of deliberating ;" (NT Greek Lexicon--one of them)
Purgatory, Pope....they are not found in the KJV
Deaconness is also not found in the KJV. WHere it is found in the RSV1 Bible, Rom 16:1.."Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church". Not Deaconness

The Lord Jesus has not stopped taking believers into His Church; good news, don't you think? Joel may have quoted Acts 2:17, but Acts was written long before Joel.AND for starters , the Greek word EKKLESIA does not mean Church ., as EKK means a OUT OF and KLESIS means a calling , is other words A CALLED OUT ASSEMBLY , , and just check VINE 'S DICTIONARY .

Other books like 2 Cor 3:9-15 also references the OT at times.
