What makes a doctrine false?

Thanks for joining the discussion.
Thanks for the invitation.
Okay.
But there certainly are conflicting understandings.
Seemingly irreconcilable in some cases. (OSAS or NOSAS?)
Jesus’ words @ Matthew 24:13, & others.
Why would Jesus say that if He believed in OSAS? Even Paul supported Jesus’ view.

Show me what verses you believe support OSAS.
Are you questioning the deity of Christ?
Jesus worshipped his Dad, the Creator, the God of the Hebrews. (John 20:17) So do I. I accept Jesus as my Savior (as God wants me to), but not as my God.
Are you promoting the law?
You mean the Mosaic Law? That was for the Israelites, not Christians. At Acts 15, after much discussion, what did the Apostles say were “necessary things” for Christians? (Vs.28,29)

Take care, my cousin.

This is an allegory.
What makes you say that? Are you a secularist, or do you subscribe solely to natural methodologies?

The same genealogy, in verses 31 & 32, says “….David, 32 the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz…”
& Vs.33 continues, “….Judah, 34 the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham…”

Is this all allegorical, too? You can’t have the same genealogy containing fake & genuine lineages.

The God of the Old Testament (Yahweh, the God and Father of the Messiah) is the God of the New Testament (Yahweh, the God and Father of the Messiah).

Paul said about Yahweh, “Behold the kindness and severity of God …” (Romans 11:22).

Indeed. The hope of/for mercy and justice, on free and full display at Calvary, but replaced by the global culture of today with the hopelessness of oppression and protest. It was even so in the time of Christ on Earth. The protesters of Jerusalem were consumed by their Roman oppressors because they would not come to Him who longed to give them rest. They idolized the law—we idolize grace.

It seems we are a stiff-necked, idolatrous people.

I'll launch a topic. I don't want to do that on this general topic.
My point was that it is controversial. You reaction seem to favor my point.

Hey Barn, how many times have you read of Israel likened to a woman?

There is no such thing as a biological male or biological female in the body of Christ.

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
— Ephesians 4:13

In your opinion does the verse above exclude the women folk?

Because Jesus was the first man the image of the invisible God. The first of Gods creation.

God said let there be light and John bore witnesses of that light coming into the world first century.

I've already gone further off-topic than I'm comfortable with, and I find these appeals to be far too much like the questions the serpent asked of Eve in Eden. Sorry—I can't oblige.

In my opinion about 80% of the Old Testament presents a god that isn’t compatible with the God that Jesus presented.

Pretty weird eh?

Jesus comes and corrects the record. He challenges their understanding of the Father, and their religious practices that he attributes to Moses.

Folks forget how bad things were under Moses. A whole generation of aimless wandering-- and a entry denial when the promised land was in view.
