Men have seed - women ovulate

Waiting on Him

Active member
How can a woman have seed? I was reading through New Testament scripture a few months ago and saw a verse that sort of stood out.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
— 1 Timothy 2:14-15

Does this imply that only the women who give birth to children can be saved?

What about the women who are incapable of conception?

There are two kinds of seed. One is from above and one is from below. The seed below is said to produce weeds-- thorns and thistles because of Adam's error. Jesus mentions this in that most important parable about seeds and weeds.

“Because you obeyed your wife
and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,
‘You must not eat from it,’
the ground is cursed because of you;
in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
but you will eat the grain of the field.
By the sweat of your brow you will eat food
until you return to the ground,
for out of it you were taken;
for you are dust, and to dust you will return.”

How does 1 Tim. 2:14-15 imply anything about a woman having "seed?"

My apologies, I was interrupted today, and haven’t had a chance to return with any significant free time.

The first time the woman was introduced as having seed was in the garden when the curses were being handed down.

Paul’s reference in 1 Timothy took me back to where the whole mess all started.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
— Genesis 3:15

Paul makes another statement regarding the women
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
— 1 Timothy 2:15
