Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
— 2 Corinthians 3:2-3
In the Bronze Age it was very common for Egyptians to chisel graven images.
Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
— Amos 5:25-26
Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
— Acts 7:42-43
So then Solomon built Him house?????
Do you really believe the God of Jesus would commission this man to build a house of stone and waist all those resources that could have been supplied for the poor and needy.
Being God would never dwell in a stone house?
I don’t believe you’re paying very close attention. It seems your primarily speaking from the doctrines of men that you’ve been taught. The Hebrew Bible is the Bible which Jesus and the Apostles read, quoted, and had confidence in its reliability.
The Hebrew Bible is about God -> their God -> the one and only true God -> the living God -> Yahweh.
The God of Jesus didn’t require sacrifice. You’ve read it in the prophets.God’s complaint against Israel is that they weren’t sacrificing to him but should have been.
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos.etc.Who in the Hebrew Bible do you hold up as someone who worshipped the God of Jesus? A few names would be sufficient to address my question.
The men that had that stance murdered Stephen as Saul watched.Of course I believe Solomon was commissioned by God to build the Temple.
Notice how the true King of the Jews chose not to build a stone temple?
