Partial Preterism

HISTORICAL PRETERISM (HP) – A) Umbrella term covering all those who believe that only a slight amount of Bible prophecy was totally fulfilled in the early centuries of the Christian era. Determined by looking at where authors find a “transition” from the past to the future using the Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24/25 and the Apocalypse of John. B) This class has roots dating back to the first century, such as in the writings of Barnabus and Clement of Rome, and finds greater development in the writings of Justin Martyr and Eusebius. The Catholic and Orthodox churches maintained HP through the Middle Ages. Today’s contemporary forms were largely developed in the writings of Calvin, Luther, Grotius and Lightfoot. C) Teaches that some of the Bible’s “end times” prophecies were fulfilled by AD70, but that the substantial portion of prophetic fulfillment is yet to be revealed at the “last day.” Transitions in the Middle of Matthew 24, or in the Middle of the Apocalypse of John.

I would suggest the time of the reformation (1st century) it began the promised last days period of time as being restored to the time of Judges men and women apostles from all the nations of the world sent out with prophecy (the gospel) No figure head as an outward representative.

In Chapter 23 of Mathew Our father working in his prophet Jesus declared the abomination of desolation (kings in Israel is made desolate not will be) . not in 70 AD as if it was a sign. But at the moment, he made it desolate. No sign was given. Jesus informed them it's an evil generation natural unconverted mankind that seeks after a sign before they believe God not seen. The believer has prophecy.

Jesus declaring the work of him, and the Father was finished When the veil which represents the circumcision of the first born called our bloody husband in Exodus was rent from the top to the bottom. There was no Jewish King sitting in the Holy of Holies. Satan could no longer deceive the whole world that Jewish flesh could profit. In that way he fulfilled prophecy leaving room for the last chance for the father of lies to rebuilt what Jesus made void in Mathew 23 .

Mathew 23: 38-39 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.. . .(is not will be) For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.. . . . .(the last day under the Sun)

Some today are looking for things like red cows and new bricks.

The parable the signified understanding below reads. .

Revelation 20 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season

In that way we can call it Partial Preterism.

"Full preterist" material is being archived for balanced representation of all preterist views, but is classified under the theological term hyper (as in beyond the acceptable range of tolerable doctrines) at this website. The classification of all full preterism as Hyper Preterism (HyP) is built upon well over a decade of intense research at PreteristArchive.com, and the convictions of the website curator (a former full preterist pastor). The HyP theology of final resurrection and consummation in the fall of Jerusalem, with its dispensational line in AD70 (end of old age, start of new age), has never been known among authors through nearly 20 centuries of Christianity leading up to 1845, when the earliest known full preterist book was written. Even though there may be many secondary points of agreement between Historical/Modern Preterism and Hyper Preterism, their premises are undeniably and fundamentally different.

I believe Biblical prophecy is fulfilled,
but only a part of the population will witness the statutes of the law.

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire:
and them that had gotten the victory over the beast,
and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name,
stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb, saying,
Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty;
just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints.

Revelation 15:2-3
