Flood myths are common across a wide range of ancient cultures, extending back into Bronze Age and Neolithic (stone age) prehistory. These accounts depict a flood, sometimes global in scale, usually sent by a deity or deities to destroy civilization as an act of divine retribution.

Robert Sepehr is an author, producer and anthropologist specializing in linguistics, archeology, and paleobiology. A harsh critic of the out-of-Africa theory, Sepehr puts forth alternative diffusionist arguments involving advanced antediluvian civilizations, occult secret societies, ancient mythology, alchemy and astrotheology.
 
The "Noah" of another culture's flood story was named Utnapishtim.

Those gods flooded the earth cuz people were making too much nois e - keeping the gods awake.
 
Utnapishtim was in the GILGAMESH EPIC - he tricked other people into building his "ark" for him.
Utnapishtim was granted immortality by the god Ea - GILGAMESH was one third human, so was not immortal.
 
Our local indigenous population have a history about a mountain that predates the first European contact as the place where the survivors of the world wide flood tied their canoe to a tall tree on the mountain and waited out the flood...
